Rules

Participants in Nexora Hacks 2026 are required to adhere to the following rules to ensure a fair, transparent, and professional competition environment.

  1. Eligibility

  • Participation is open to students, professionals, and innovators worldwide unless prohibited by local law.

  • Individuals may participate solo or as part of a team, subject to the team size limits specified on the Devpost event page.

  • Organizers, judges, and event partners may participate as mentors but are not eligible to compete for prizes.

  1. Team formation

  • Teams may be formed before or during the hackathon period.

  • Each participant may belong to only one team.

  • Team changes after submission deadlines are not permitted.

  1. Original work

  • All submissions must be created during the official hackathon timeline.

  • Pre-existing code, datasets, or frameworks may be used provided they are clearly cited and their licenses permit such use.

  • Repackaging of previously submitted or publicly available projects without significant new innovation is not permitted.

  1. Project ownership and IP

  • Teams retain ownership of all intellectual property they create.

  • By submitting, participants grant organizers the right to showcase project descriptions, screenshots, and demo videos for promotional and results purposes.

  1. Use of AI tools

  • Use of AI models, APIs, or code-generation tools is permitted.

  • Participants must disclose AI tools or services used and their role in the project.

  • Fully auto-generated submissions without meaningful human contribution are not allowed.

  1. Submission expectations

  • A complete Devpost submission is required by the deadline.

  • Incomplete or late submissions may be disqualified at the organizers’ discretion.

  • All required materials listed in the Submission Requirements section must be included.

  1. Judging and decisions

  • Projects will be evaluated based on the published judging criteria.

  • The decisions of the judging panel and organizing team are final and binding.

  • Organizers reserve the right to move projects between tracks where appropriate.

  1. Code of conduct and fair participation

  • Participants must engage respectfully and professionally with others.

  • Harassment, plagiarism, cheating, or sabotage of other teams is strictly prohibited.

  • Any violation may result in disqualification and removal from the event.

  1. Use of third-party content

  • Submissions must comply with applicable copyright, license, and data-usage restrictions.

  • Use of proprietary or confidential information without authorization is prohibited.

  1. Legal compliance

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable local, national, and international laws.

  • Certain prize categories may have additional eligibility requirements due to legal or sponsor constraints.

  1. Right to modify event terms

  • Organizers reserve the right to update rules, schedules, and prize structures where necessary.

  • Any changes will be communicated through the official event channels.
